T-minus One Week

Yahoo!!!  One week from today we set out on our journey!  A rather challenging week ahead of me with four college finals by Thursday; project management, healthcare, statistics and economics!! 

We have been busy checking and re-checking the RV (hmm, think we need to come up with a name?!  Had a slight glitch over the weekend with the hydraulic jacks and the generator.  Found out it was corroded battery terminals on the auxiliary batteries. 

Our excitement level is growing daily and we are so thankful that the God we serve has given us this opportunity to take this trip!! 

I'll post a couple of pics of the "Georgie Boy" (manufacturer, not its name!) later today.

Preparations

Muggy and Ken Hanson will depart Warner Robins, GA on May 7, 2012 for an extended trip around and whichever way the wind blows across America.

We will travel in a 32 foot, 1997 Georgie Boy class A motorhome in an effort to do our best to stimulate the economy by spending a small fortune on gasoline over the ensuing couple of months.

There are two "must do" things for this trip:  One is Albuquerque, NM from 18-21 May 2011.  We will be there for the total eclipse of the sun on May 20th.  The other is the Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument in Utah.

We will travel through Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Tennessee and finally home sometime in July.
